Highlights

Engineered a Record-Setting Span: Designed a 723-meter self-supported transmission line crossing over the North Thompson River - the longest span in Primary's history, showcasing innovative engineering expertise.

Custom 138kV Steel Structures: Developed tailored designs for 138kV steel structures, including detailed specifications, shop drawing reviews, and on-site field inspections to ensure quality and compliance.

Innovative Take-Off Structure Design: Created a unique take-off structure to minimize modifications to nearby BC Hydro structures in a difficult-to-access location.

Grounding System Optimization: Conducted a comprehensive grounding analysis to ensure all structures met BC Hydro's strict grounding standards for transmission systems.

Safety Through Induction Analysis: Assessed electromagnetic induction effects on nearby single-phase lines to ensure system reliability and safety.

Ampacity Analysis for Efficiency: Evaluated the electrical capacity (ampacity) of the overhead line to ensure optimal performance under operational conditions.

Compliance with Aviation Standards: Designed marker ball placements that adhered to BC Hydro and Transport Canada requirements for safe aerial navigation.

Precise Crossing Designs: Created detailed crossing drawings that complied with all necessary approval authority specifications, ensuring regulatory alignment.
