president/CEO
As President and CEO of Primary Engineering and Construction, Jesse continues to build upon the company’s reputation for delivering exceptional results. He was promoted to his current role in 2023 after serving as Vice President of B.C. Operations where he oversaw the five departments within our B.C. division. Jesse holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is an accredited engineer in both Alberta and B.C.
Jesse's journey with Primary began in 2008 when he joined the Calgary office as an engineer-in-training (EIT). His entrepreneurial mindset led him to play a key role in initiating the ENMAX Developer Choice program, which proved to be a significant milestone for the company.
Recognizing Jesse's expertise and leadership qualities, Primary promoted him to Manager of B.C. Interior Operations in 2013, and later to Vice President of B.C. Operations in 2021. During his tenure, his team pioneered several ground-breaking service offerings, including establishing a dedicated group responsible for substations and transmission projects.
In his downtime, Jesse enjoys spending time with his three children, which includes soccer and remote-control monster trucks. He also enjoys hiking, working with computers and being an active member of his local church.
