We offer an extensive array of comprehensive engineering design and design/build services encompassing power system engineering, design-build services for utilities, joint use and telecommunication design, traffic and transportation engineering, and renewable energy systems. These services cater to a diverse range of clients, including electric utility companies, developers, builders, commercial and industrial businesses, mining companies, government, and private contractors. Responsibilities:
- Provide project support and coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
- Develop and implement detailed project execution plans.
- Enforce company policies and support a culture of safety and productivity.
- Manage multiple construction sites with respect to schedule, cost, budget, and safety.
- Lead the development and oversight of project budgets, including estimating, forecasting, tracking, and reporting.
- Monitor project financial performance and proactively address cost deviations.
- Communicate cost and scheduling updates to the Construction Manager regularly.
- Maintain accurate tracking of project metrics and enter data promptly.
- Create and update project schedules in accordance with execution timelines.
- Provide detailed cost estimates and maintain control over construction budgets and invoicing.
- Support the quality management program throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate and summarize financial outcomes of projects upon completion.
- Engage effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, resolving issues and building relationships.
- Ensure ongoing and transparent communication with customers to meet and exceed expectations.
- Complete and maintain comprehensive field documentation, daily reports, and close-out packages.
- Address worksite challenges and recommend productivity improvements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven skills in planning project completion, allocating resources, and managing documentation.
- Strong knowledge in:
- Powerline construction
- Shallow utility and civil utility construction
- Blueprint reading and interpreting specification requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in team settings.
- Strong advocacy and implementation of safe work practices.
- Solid experience in budget development, cost control, and financial reporting for construction projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project).
A few qualifications that would help you succeed:
- Red Seal Journeyman Certification as a Power Line Technician.
- Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education (e.g., construction management, engineering tech, etc.).
- Highly organized with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across disciplines (Engineering, Construction, Subcontractors).
- Capable of working independently or as part of a project team.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); able to maintain professional communication standards.
- Passionate about quality work and driven by results.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean Driver’s Abstract.
