RIDE FOR FLIGHTS RETURNS AUGUST 8, 2026

We are proud to announce the return of our annual Ride For Flights Motorcycle Rally and Poker Run fundraising event in support of STARS Air Ambulance. This year marks our 6th annual Ride For Flights, bringing riders, guests, employees, families, and community members together for a great cause. STARS is a non profit organization that provides critical care to patients in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities across Western Canada. To do this, they rely on a model that blends support from several sources including government support and funding from the community through donations and fundraising initiatives.

How the Poker Run Works

Riders begin at the Primary Construction Office in Rocky View, Alberta before heading out on the Grand Valley and Water Valley Loop. This scenic 3 hour, 220 kilometre ride takes participants through rural landscapes, valleys, and forested areas. Along the route, riders punch a special poker run card. Each punch corresponds to a playing card, which forms their poker hand. The best hand wins. The ride begins at 11:00 am and wraps up around 3:00 pm, when riders return for a BBQ lunch, door prizes, a 50/50 charity raffle, live music, merch for sale, and more. Not a rider? No problem. Visitors and non riders can purchase a $15 registration ticket, which includes breakfast or lunch and access to event activities.

Schedule:

• 9:00 am to 11:00 am: Registration, coffee, and donut breakfast
• 11:00 am: Ride Begins
• 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm: Riders return for a BBQ Lunch
• Live music by Nomad Kings begins at 3:00 pm or when riders return.
• 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm: Door Prizes and 50/50 Draw

Costs:

• Motorcycle Riders: $50, includes poker hand, breakfast, and BBQ lunch
• Non Riders, Spectators, and Guests: $15, includes breakfast or lunch
