Project Description

As part of the Regina Bypass project, Primary was contracted by SaskPower to provide distribution design services. The scope included design packages for overhead and underground power lines and equipment relocation to avoid conflicts with the new bypass.

Primary led the simulation and analysis for conveyed and non-conveyed streetlight designs for over 250 LED light locations. We performed lighting level analysis and light warranty calculations to meet SaskPower, INSA RP-8, Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways Design Manual 2 (DM2) and Transport Association of Canada (TAC) standards.

Primary provided project management, planning, stakeholder engagement management, file management support and construction support for several interchanges along the bypass between Highway 46 at Balgonie to Highway 11, north of Regina. We performed design analysis and light warranty calculations and recommendations to SaskPower regarding lighting requirement for various locations.
