Primary named one of six qualified service providers for ENMAX

Primary is proud to announce the renewal of its prequalification under ENMAX Power Corporation’s Developer Choice program. This renewal secures a three-year term with the option for two additional one-year extensions, reaffirming Primary’s leadership as a trusted partner in the delivery of electric utility infrastructure across Calgary.

First introduced in 2008, Developer Choice gives developers greater choice and control in the installation of ENMAX’s electrical infrastructure. Primary has been part of the program since its inception and is proud to be the most experienced service provider in the program. With roots in supporting ENMAX projects dating back to 2002, our deep familiarity with ENMAX standards, specifications, and processes,  combined with longstanding relationships with municipalities and other utilities, positions us to deliver seamless, reliable results for developers.

Comprehensive Services for Land Development

As part of the Developer Choice program, Primary will continue to deliver end-to-end services, including:

• Turnkey Electrical Design – Safe, efficient, and fully compliant designs aligned with ENMAX standards.
• Permitting & Coordination – Streamlined approvals and collaboration with municipalities and utility partners to keep projects on track.
• Material Management – Supply chain and logistics expertise to ensure transparency and cost certainty.
• Civil & Electrical Construction – Complete on-site services, from trenching and cable pulls to terminations and overhead greenfield builds.
• As-Builts & Energization – Accurate documentation and timely energization for new communities, commercial developments, and system upgrades.
• Four-Party Utility Design – Integrated shallow utility solutions covering power, gas, telecom, and cable in partnership with ENMAX, Fortis Alberta, ATCO, Telus, and Rogers.
