Today is World Mental Health Day!
This year`s theme, "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change," is a reminder that everyone`s experiences matter and that taking the time to listen can make a meaningful difference.
At Primary, we know that supporting mental health goes beyond one day. Whether it`s checking in with a coworker, making space for an open conversation, or connecting someone with helpful resources, small actions can go a long way.
With support from our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) and Mental Health Committee, we`re committed to creating a workplace where our team feels heard, valued, and supported.
Let`s keep looking out for one another, today and every day! 💚

What a way to wrap up an incredible ten months! 🎓
Congratulations to Edward on graduating from the @weienergy ’s Business Acumen for Emerging Leaders (BAEL) program in Anchorage, Alaska!
Along the way, Edward had the opportunity to visit utilities across Western Canada and the U.S., learn from leaders throughout the energy industry, and build some great relationships.
The experience wrapped up at WEI’s Annual Meeting, where Edward and his capstone team presented “Timeless Collaboration in an Era of Emerging Technology,” exploring how new technology and strong human connections can work together to shape what’s next. 💡
We’re proud to see our people keep learning, building relationships, and bringing new ideas back to their teams.
Congratulations, Edward! 👏

October is Women’s History Month!
This month, we celebrate the women and girls, past and present, whose leadership, ideas, and determination have helped shape our communities and continue to inspire what comes next.
Across engineering, construction, skilled trades, and beyond, women continue to make an impact, break down barriers, and inspire future generations to see themselves as leaders and changemakers.
At Primary, we recognize the women across our teams and industry who bring their expertise, perspectives, and ideas to their work every day.
This month, we celebrate their contributions and the ongoing impact women are making today and for generations to come.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. 🧡
Orange Shirt Day carries the message that Every Child Matters and is an opportunity to learn more about the history and lasting impacts of residential schools, while deepening our understanding of the histories, cultures and experiences of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
Learning doesn’t stop after September 30. Throughout the year, Primary’s Indigenous engagement group, OTTER, shares resources and learning opportunities with our team about Indigenous histories, cultures and perspectives.
Today, we encourage everyone to take time to listen, learn and reflect. 🧡

This week is Construction Suicide Prevention Week.
In our industry, we spend a lot of time talking about working safely and looking out for the people around us. That care extends beyond what we can see.
This year’s theme, Building on Progress, is a reminder to keep creating space for honest conversations, checking in with one another, and knowing where to turn when someone needs support. To help support our people, Primary has developed a Mental Health Guide that gives employees easy access to information and resources when they need them.
At Primary, we believe strong teams are built on trust. Sometimes that starts with something as simple as asking, “How are you doing?” and taking the time to really listen.
Let’s keep looking out for the people beside us, on the jobsite and beyond. 💙
