We are beyond excited to share that this year’s Ride for Flights non-profit event raised an astonishing $18,405 in support of STARS Air Ambulance! Thanks to the generosity of our riders, donors, sponsors, and volunteers, we’ve exceeded our $10,000 goal, making an even greater impact on this life-saving organization.

On August 9, 2025, motorcycle enthusiasts came together at the Primary Construction Office in Rocky View, AB and traveled along the Grand Valley–Water Valley Loop; a 3 hour, 220-kilometer journey through a scenic valley and beautiful rural forests. Along the route, riders punch a special poker run punch card. Each punch corresponded to a playing card that formed their poker hand.

The event wasn’t just about the ride—it was about community and community support. We wrapped up the day with a delicious barbecue, band, silent auction, door prizes, and a 50/50 draw, bringing people together for a cause close to our hearts.

The funds raised will help STARS continue providing critical care to patients in rural, remote, and Indigenous communities across Western Canada. Each rescue mission can cost upwards of $7,000, and STARS relies entirely on donations to fund its operations. This means that every dollar raised through events like Ride for Flights directly supports their ability to deliver essential emergency medical services.

Your donations help STARS provide critical care, anywhere. Whether by air, by ground or virtually to patients experiencing trauma, illness, or emergencies in remote areas. From onboard medical teams to advanced equipment, your support ensures that critical care is available when and where it’s needed most.
