ABOUT PROJECT

SaskPower Regina City Revitalization Project is a distribution project where SaskPower’s existing aging infrastructure 4kV/14/25kV system and duct banks is being replaced using present day technologies. Scope includes the installation of padmount transformers and Vista switches, replacement of overhead and underground distribution facilities, realignment of load and supply points.

Services: Multiple design of duct bank projects.

CHALLENGE:

Primary was tasked with the design and material estimate of the project, coordinating permits and easements, as well as organizing the procurement of extra material needed to complete the scope. The project also required Primary to work with external contractors for portions of the job.

ACTION:

Primary led design for the projects, coordinated meetings, assisted with procurement documents, and assisted with on-site questions and change requests during the execution phases of the projects.

RESULT:

SaskPower's duct bank projects are being upgraded and redesigned at a consistent rate, meeting budget requirements and meeting construction season timelines.
